DRYDEN- The Consortium Board of Directors are pleased to announce the appointment of Daniel Ridgway to the position of General Manager for the Northwestern Ontario Student Services Consortium effective July 01.
Originally from Dryden, Dan left to pursue his post-secondary education and obtained a degree in Geography as well as in Urban and Regional Planning and is accredited as a Registered Professional Planner. After gaining relevant experience in Southern Ontario in both public and private sector positions, Dan returned to Northwestern Ontario in 2017 as Operations Co-Ordinator for the Consortium.
Consortium Board Chair, Seija Van Haesendonck expressed, “On behalf of the Consortium, I am excited to congratulate Daniel as he moves into this new role.”
Ridgway stated, “I am looking forward to this next challenge and happy to be back in the North.”
Outgoing General Manager, Judi Green announced her retirement earlier this year. Green’s last day will be June 28 after 28 years in education, with the last 8 years as General Manager of the Consortium. Green was instrumental in the development of the Consortium as the first General Manager. In addition to advancing the Consortium to be recognized provincially, Green has always been an advocate for the North and its students.
Van Haesendonck further added, “We would like to thank Judi for her many years of dedication to providing safe and efficient transportation services to our many communities and wish her all the best in her retirement.”
