Notice to Families: Your School Bus Information for the Upcoming Year (2021-2022)

Your bus information for the start of the 2021-2022 school year is now available through the NWOSSC Parent Portal. Only students who regularly rode the bus last school year are automatically registered, all others must register for bussing separately from your school registration. Unregistered students will not be allowed to board the bus on the first day of school, so it is important that all families check their bus information through the Parent Portal. We ask that you check your bus information now, and again before your first day of school in case there are any minor changes to your bus route timing.

To access the Parent Portal go to https://www.nwobus.ca/parent-portal/. If this is your first time using the portal, you will need to create an account and then add your students using the following information:

  • Your child’s Ontario Education Number (OEN) / Student ID – this 9 digit number that can be found on your report card;
  • School;
  • Grade for the 2021-2022 school year; and
  • Birth Date.

Your child will have an assigned seat on the bus. The Bus Driver will let them know where to sit when boarding the bus. We are not able to accommodate requests for seating at this time, but efforts have been made to seat students with members of their household or school cohort when possible.

Please review our webpage to learn more about steps being taken to ensure that students continue to arrive at school safely, on time, and ready to learn during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. https://www.nwobus.ca/return-to-school-transportation-covid-19/ This information includes how to prepare your child for the bus ride, and parents daily responsibility to assess their child’s health before sending them to the school bus. Students in Grades 1-12 are required to wear a mask on the bus, and students in kindergarten are strongly encouraged to wear a mask.

If you have not yet registered for bussing and need to do so, please complete a Transportation Request Form available at www.nwobus.ca/transportation-request-form as soon as possible. New registrations are being processed as soon as possible, however it may take longer than normal for new bussing arrangements to be made. Please contact us by email at bussing@nwobus.ca if you require assistance.

If you have contacted the Consortium by email or through our website and have not received a reply within two business days, please check your junk mail folder and call us at 807-223-1256 or toll-free at 1-866-860-7770.
